ABOUT MOVE 4WARD with ANGELA McINTYRE

We acknowledge that we live, work, and play on the traditional territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Kainai, Piikani), the Tsuut’ina, the Îyâxe Nakoda Nations, the Métis Nation (Region 3), and all people who call the Treaty 7 region of Southern Alberta home in the spirit of reconciliation.
What exactly is land acknowledgement, and why is it important?
A Land Acknowledgement is a formal statement that acknowledges and honours Indigenous Peoples as traditional custodians of this land, as well as the long-standing link between Indigenous Peoples and their ancestral lands.
